The premium one has to pay for the MotoGP edition will surprise you
- Compared to the MotoGP edition of the Gixxer SF, the 250cc motorcycle gets subtle cosmetic changes.
- Apart from the visual updates, the bike remains mechanically the same as the standard variant.
- It will be available at Suzuki’s premium dealership network across India.
Suzuki has launched the Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP edition in India at Rs 1,71,456 (ex-showroom Delhi). Compared to the standard colour variants, the MotoGP edition is just Rs 801 more expensive. Suzuki had launched the MotoGP edition of the 155cc Gixxer SF last month and that variant was dearer by Rs 735 when compared to the model with standard colours.
Unlike the Gixxer SF MotoGP, the Gixxer SF 250 MotoGP edition gets ‘250’ decals right under the Ecstar logo and the lower portion of the fairing gets a blue colour treatment instead of the black finish in the 155cc motorcycle. This makes the fairing look a little more coherent than the Gixxer SF. Apart from the visual changes, the bike remains the same as the normal colour variant in terms of the mechanicals. Interestingly, Yamaha also recently launched the MotoGP Edition of the YZF-R15 V3, FZ25 and even the Ray ZR. Here’s Suzuki’s statement regarding the launch:
