These 5 Benelli Motorcycles will be locally assembled and sold in India by end of 2014

The Italian bike maker- Benelli has inked partnership with DSK MotoWheels to locally assemble and sell bikes in the Indian market. The company has announced that it will bring 5 Tornado Naked Tre (TNT) motorcycles in the first phase by end of 2014. The DSK-Benelli line-up includes the in-line, two cylinder TNT 302, the in-line, four-cylinder 600cc TNT 600 i as well as TNT 600 GT, the 898cc, in-line, three-cylinder TNT899 and 1131cc, also in-line, three-cylinder engine powered TNT1130R, a 155bhp plus superbike. So let's have a brief introductions of these upcoming machines in India-
1. Benelli TNT 302 (BN 302): The youngest machine of the company, Benelli TNT 302 is an entry level performance bike with naked sport styling. Powered by a 300cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor, the bike delivers 37bhp of maximum power along with 27Nm of peak torque. Mated to a smooth 6-speed transmission, the engine uses advance electronic injection with twin ø38mm throttle bodies.
Bolted on a steel trestle frame, The TNT 302 comes with 41mm inverted front forks and adjustable unit suspension at the rear. The bike gets meaty 120/70 and 160/60 section rubber on the front and the rear DOT-D aluminium alloys respectively. Braking system of the bike combines twin 260mm front and single 240mm rear disc brakes.
2. Benelli TNT 600i (BN 600i): The younger sibling of TNT 302, Benelli TNT 600i is a very advanced streetfighter motorcycle with a 600cc, liquid-cooled inline-four engine. Powered by Delphi electronic fuel injection, the engine makes 82bhp of raw power and the torque output goes upto 52Nm. The 208 kg weighing bike has front steel trestle and rear aluminium alloy casting frame with 50mm upside down front forks and unit adjustable suspension with aluminium swingarm at the rear.
The light and sporty alloys of the TNT 600i comes covered with sticky Metzeler Sportec tyres of section 120/70 front and 180/55 rear. The front wheel comes equipped with twin 320mm floating discs with radial mounted 4 piston calipers and a 260mm disc with 2 piston caliper has been monter on the rear wheel.
3. Benelli TNT 600GT (BN 600GT): The sport tourer Benelli TNT 600GT shares all the engineering with the TNT 600i. However, it gets a different faired style body work with more comfortable seating, under-belly exhaust, bigger 27-L fuel tank, improved headlamp with projector light, reduced wheelbase and 15 kg extra.
4. Benelli TNT 899: The Naked Sport Benelli TNT 899 is a brutally styled mid-weight performance motorcycle, which sports a short stroke 899cc, liquid-cooled, inline-three with balancer shaft. Using Walbro Ecua 1 ignition system and electronic fuel injection, the motor churns out 121bhp of maximum power along with an extreme torque of 88Nm.
The TNT 899 comes with Marzocchi 50mm inverted front forks and unit Sachs rear shock. The front wheel gets 120/70 or 120/65 section rubber and dual 320mm floating disc brakes with radial mounted Brembo 4 piston calipers. With meatier 190/50 or 180/55 section tyre, the rear wheel gets a 240mm wave disc brake with Brembo 2 piston caliper.
5. Benelli TNT 1130R: The flagship machine in the TNT series, Benelli TNT 1130 shares all the styling with its younger sibling- TNT 899. However, it houses a bigger 1131cc engine of similar configuration, which is capable to make 158bhp of raw power and a peak torque of 120Nm. The bike also gets fully adjustable Marzocchi 50 mm upside down front forks and a ZF Sachs rear shock.
