Three New Motorcycles to be Launched by Mahindra

Mahindra Two Wheelers are planning its return with the launch of three brand new motorcycles in India. The emerging player in the two-wheeler market is looking to perk up its market share with a series of launches this year. A company official said that the three bikes will be in different segments and they will be launched in the coming months. The company will bring the upgraded version of the now discontinued Stallio, the popular 100cc motorcycle and also a powerful 300cc motorcycle Mojo. Mahindra Two Wheelers’ Senior Vice-President (Strategy and Market Development), Viren Popli, told that since the company has stopped the production of Stallio, it will be launched with an upgraded version again. He added that the next superbike Mojo is in the testing phase. The bike is getting a lot of attention, particularly from the south, he exclaimed. The company is presently focusing on the urban market in its production of the scooters but is planning now to take a step in the rural area too.
Mahindra Two Wheelers will launch a new product in the moped segment in the rural area, Popli said, the company will also come up with a bike in this area. The officials haven’t unveiled any news on the three motorcycles except that they will be of different segments. Popli said that the bike will completely be unveiled on the day of its launch. Mahindra Two Wheelers will surely have a big year this time, with the launch of three new motorcycles and two new scooters too. Popli, unveiling the company's second scooter Mahindra Rodeo RZ Sports, 125cc, said that there will be a total of five products in the Indian roads by the company this year.
The company has also taken a big step of manufacturing engines for its scooters. Presently, the company is tied up with SYM, a leading powered vehicle industry in Taiwan. The company has a scooter manufacturing plant near Indore which has the capacity to produce a million units every year. Mahindra has added several features like charging point for cell phones, a decent storage space, a front fuelling system, high ground clearance, clock and tripmeter in the Rodeo RZ and hopes it will woo the Indian customers.
