Speculated to be launched in February 2017, the new Triumph Bonneville Bobber will be positioned above the Bonneville T120.
In 2016, Triumph Motorcycle entirely revamped its range of modern classics with all-new models and the latest entrant in this family is the Bonneville Bobber. Now, a reliable source has informed us that the bike will make its debut in India in the first half of 2017, most probably February. It will be positioned above the existing Bonneville T120 and will go against the Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight.
Based on a completely new hardtail style frame, the new Bonneville Bobber gets a concealed rear suspension. It follows a genuine factory custom design language with beautifully styled minimalism. The signature stripped back, single seat and wide flat bars complete the authentic Bobber look. Moreover, it features adjustable riding position with a floating aluminium single seat pan covered with a beautiful stitched deep foam pad.
The Triumph Bobber retains the 1,200cc high-torque engine of the Bonneville T120. However updates such as the new dual airbox change the characteristics of its performance delivery. The iconic Bonneville's peashooter exhausts have been replaced with new, slash-cut mufflers. The engine offers 77PS of power and 105Nm of torque along with two riding modes -- 'road' and 'rain'.
Along with the above-mentioned riding modes, the Triumph Bonneville Bobber also retains other electronic goodies from its sibling including ABS, ride-by-wire, switchable traction control, and a torque-assist clutch.
