From spy shots, launch confirmations and teasers to discounts and more, here’s everything we saw this week
This week was quite exciting for us, as we got to see some upcoming bikes being tested along with new teasers and also discount offers being announced. If you weren’t keeping up with the news then don’t worry, this wrapup will help bring you up to speed.
Triumph
This week was quite interesting for Triumph fans and we got two very exciting news. The first of which is the fact that we can expect the manufacturer to launch a new bike in the 400cc segment. We believe it will be the Triumph Thruxton 400, a cafe racer style motorcycle and the news was confirmed by Rajiv Bajaj himself. Here’s what we can expect from this upcoming bike.
In other news, Pune based Triumph dealer B U Bhandari Triumph is offering customers the option to get their Triumph Speed 400 and Triumph Scrambler 400 X in custom colours and we think the yellow paint scheme looks absolutely gorgeous.
Bajaj
Bajaj has been working on a CNG bike for a while now and Rajiv Bajaj had recently confirmed that the bike will be launching very soon.
This week we even got some exclusive spy shots of this upcoming bike and it has given us a good look at it and has also revealed a lot.
Royal Enfield
Royal Enfield came into the spotlight once again as we spotted the upcoming Royal Enfield Bullet 650 being tested. The upcoming 650cc roadster was first seen being tested in India and we also got to hear its exhaust note.
After that the bike was seen testing in Europe and the pictures have given us a clearer idea of what we can expect from this upcoming Royal Enfield bike. Here are the details.
In other news, we also got to see a custom Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 that has been modified to look similar to the iconic Yamaha RD350. The bike has been modified so well that we almost mistook it for a RD350.
Yezdi
This week we got to see the upcoming Yezdi Roadking at a dealer event. The bike looks really nice and Yezdi has been able to capture that retro vibe pretty well with this design. Along with this we also got to see other models from the brand’s lineup like the Yezdi Scrambler, Adventure and Roadster but all seem to have undergone some changes. Here’s everything you need to know about all of them.
Electric News
The electric vehicle space saw a lot of exciting news this week, from upcoming launches, to teasers and even discounts.
First, we saw TVS trademarking two new names TVS XL-EV and TVS E-XL. The names hint at the possibility that TVS is working on creating a rival to the recently launched Kinetic Green E-Luna. Here are the details.
Later in the week the brand announced that they are offering a massive discount on the TVS iQube, here’s how much you can save when buying the e-scooter.
Moving on, we also saw the deliveries of the Ather 450 Apex commencing and the manufacturer also dropped a teaser of the ‘smart accessory’ for the upcoming Ather Rizta, which will be revealed on Ather’s community day, April 6, 2024. Here’s what we think it might be.
Speaking of dropping stuff, Ather also revealed the battery pack that will be used on the Rizta via a drop test. The battery pack survived being dropped from an insane height.
