Voge motorcycles, the company responsible for the sweet-looking ER 10 electric bike, has now launched a mid-spec streetfighter called the Brivido 500R. The bike, which looks like a derivation of the CFMoto 650NK, has been introduced in Italy alongside two adventure tourers, the Valico 300DS and 500DS, and a classic motorcycle called the Trofeo 300. The Brivido 500R is priced at € 6,640, approximately Rs 5,45 lakh.
The Brivido 500R has been developed under the watchful eyes of Loncin Motorcycles, one of the biggest two-wheeler manufacturers in China, distributed in Italy by Kymco.
If you look closely, you’d notice the overall silhouette of the bike looks quite similar to the CFMoto 650Nk. What sets it apart is the angular styling which looks more fresh and aggressive. It also gets a full LED headlight, unlike the projector headlamp on the 650NK, along with an LED tail light and turn indicators. Aside from this, the bike also comes with a full-digital instrument console.
Another differentiating factor is its powertrain. The Brivido uses a smaller 471cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that makes a respectable 46.9PS of power at 8500rpm and 40.5Nm of peak torque at 7000rpm. It comes equipped with a 6-speed transmission.
In terms of hardware, the Brivido 500R features an upside-down fork and a monoshock with twin disc brakes up front and a single disc at the rear that handle its braking duties. The bike’s 17-inch wheels come wrapped in 120/70 –section tyre up front and a 160/60 –section tyre at the rear.
At this price point, the Brivido 500R is likely to take on the likes of the Honda CB500F in Europe, a streetfighter Honda intends to bring to India pretty soon.
