Weekly News Wrap-up: Bajaj Chetak Unveil, BS6 Yamaha R15 V3.0 Details, New Kawasaki Ninja 300 Launch Date And More!

Here’s a quick recap of the important news of the past week

This week has been rather vanilla with the only big news being Bajaj’s revival of the Chetak scooter. Other than that most of past weeks happenings have revolved around spottings of upcoming BS6 two-wheelers.  TVS also launched its own official riding gear line up and merchandise, and here’s a quick lowdown of the week that went by.

Bajaj Chetak e-Scooter unveiled:
Bajaj has resurrected the Chetak in the form of an electric scooter. The new Chetak has a neo-retro design and looks more like a Vespa but has a lot of design cues similar to the original Chetak. It gets a metal bodywork and a premium fit and finish. Know more details about the new Chetak here. 

BS6 Yamaha Fascino spotted testing:
All major two-wheeler manufacturers are gearing up towards getting its vehicles ready for the upcoming BS6 norms. It seems Yamaha too has jumped on the BS6 train as a test mule of the upcoming BS6 Fascino was spotted testing. The new scooter will get cosmetic updates and a fuel-injected motor. BS6 Yamaha R15 V3.0 details leaked:
The Fascino isn't the only Yamaha to get BS6. Leaked documents have revealed details about the upcoming BS6 compliant R15 V3.0. To pass the stringent emission norms the entry-level sportbike sacrifices some power. Know how much has the R15 V3.0 lost here. 

BS6 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Launch details:
Kawasaki is all set to upgrade its entry-level Ninja 300 to BS6 and launch it soon. With an updated motor and hopefully a few cosmetic updates, we expect the Ninja 300 to see a price hike from the current Rs 2.98 lakh (ex-showroom). Know the launch details here.

TVS has released its own official range of riding gear and merchandise under the brand name TVS Racing Performance Gear. The riding gear category contains jackets, pants, gloves, boots and helmets.
