Ather Energy, the Bangalore-based manufacturer, has launched the 2025 450 electric scooter range in India. It consists of the 450S, 450X 2.9kWh, 450X 3.7kWh and 450 Apex. 

Prices

The prices of the Ather 450 lineup start from Rs 1,29,999 for the 450S and go up to Rs 1,99,999 for the 450 Apex. Here’s a detailed look at the prices of the scooters, with and without the pro pack:

Ather 450 Lineup

All three scooters are equipped with a mid-mounted electric motor, telescopic fork and monoshock, a disc brake at both ends and 12-inch alloy wheels at both ends, and LED lighting all round. The 450 S has a 7-inch LCD instrument console while the other three scooters have a touch enabled 7-inch TFT console . The major differences between the scooters are the battery pack they come with, their performance figures and the features. 

Ather 450S

The Ather 450S is powered by a 2.9kWh battery pack which delivers a claimed Indian Driving Cycle (IDC) range of 122km on a single charge. It makes 5.4kW of peak power  with a claimed top-speed of 90kmph. The 450S comes with an LCD display with turn-by-turn navigation, guide-me-home headlight, smartphone connectivity via the Ather app which enables Alexa skills, over-the-air updates, park assist, auto-hold, auto-indicator off and coasting regen. It has four riding modes: Smart Eco, Eco, Ride and Sport. The scooter is available in four colours: Still White, Cosmic Black, Space Grey, Stealth Blue. 

Ather 450X 2.9kWh & 450X 3.7kWh

The Ather 450X is available in two variants: 2.9kWh and 3.7kWh. The name denotes the battery capacity the variants get. The 2.9kWh variant has a claimed IDC range of 126km while the 3.7kWh variant has a claimed IDC range of 161km. Ather claims the top-speed to be 90kmph. Both the variants make 6.4kW and 26Nm. The 450X comes with a touch enabled 7-inch TFT display which gets a host of features. Apart from the four riding modes on the 450S, the 450X gets an additional Warp mode. The 450X gets additional features compared to the 450S like Google Maps navigation, Magic Twist (braking due to negative throttle), switchable traction control with modes: Rain/ Road/ Rally, Ping My Scooter, Whatsapp notifications and live location sharing. The scooter gets additional colours which are Lunar grey, True Red and Hyper Sand on top of the ones available with the 450S. 

Ather 450 Apex

The Ather 450 Apex is the most premium scooter in the 450 lineup. The Apex has a 3.7kWh capacity battery pack which delivers a claimed IDC range of 157km. It has 7.0kW of peak power and 26Nm of torque which propels the scooter to a claimed top-speed of 100kmph. Apart from all the features of the 450X, the Apex replaces the Wrap mode for Wrap+ mode which is the fastest mode in the Ather 450 lineup. The 450 Apex is available in a single colour called Cobalt blue with pastel orange. 

Rivals

The 2025 Ather 450 lineup goes against the likes of TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, Ola S1 lineup and the Vida V2 in India.
