This week saw yet another slew of launches and unveils
The onslaught of BS6 two-wheeler launches and unveils continue this week as well. The past seven days saw a series of high profile launches and announcements. Here are the 5 most important ones.
1. BMW launch and unveiling:
BMW launched the 2020 S 1000 XR in India. The litre-class sports tourer gets new bodywork, a new frame and electronically adjustable suspension. Know more details and prices here. BWM also unveiled the 2021 F 750 GS, F 850 GS and F 850 GS Adventure. The bikes get a new headlamp, new colours and a new 40 Years GS Edition livery. More details here.
2. BGauss scooter launch:
Electric bikemaker BGauss launched the A2 and B8 electric scooter in India. Both come with a choice of a lead-acid or lithium-ion battery pack. The scooters get three riding modes (low, mid and high), fully digital instrument cluster with keyless entry, anti-theft alarm, USB charging and reverse assist. On the higher specced B8, you get IOT features like navigation assist, ride metrics, remote diagnostics, battery’s state of health and its charging state, live tracking, geo-fencing and full charge alert. 3. Jawa Perak BS6 power outputs:
Jawa has revealed that the new Perak BS6 makes more power and torque than the previous BS4 motor. Also, delivery timelines for the bobber have been confirmed. All the details here.
4. Hero XPulse 200 BS6 launch:
The Hero XPulse 200 BS6 is finally here and the motor now gets an oil cooler for better efficiency. Power and torque are slightly down but weight is up due to the addition of the catalytic convertor. 5. Mahindra Mojo 300 BS6 unveiled:
Mahindra has revealed the upcoming Mojo 300 BS6 and it gets new sportier paint options. The bodywork remains unchanged though which is disappointing. The 300cc motor will come with fuel injection and is expected to offer more performance than the carburetted BS4 Mojo UT 300.
