Weekly Wrap-up: 4 Two-Wheelers Launched, India’s First Smart Electric Scooter Unveiled and many more

Another week has come to an end and we are back with a weekly dose of two-wheeler industry. This week, we saw the launch of 2016 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R, ZX-10R along with the updated version of Mahindra Gusto 110 and Bajaj V launched in Maharashtra. Honda’s monkey-bike got the decent response from the public and over 500 units are already booked. A tale of love trolled all over the social media as a wife saved for three years to gift her husband Harley-Davidson. Apart from that, a Ludhiana guy confirmed his participation for the Daytona bike week and became the first turbaned guy to take part in the second largest rally. A Bangalore-based start-up unveiled India’s first Smart Electric Scooter under ‘Make in India’. This is not just enough, the week saw many more things. 2016 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R and 10R launched in India

The year 2016 is going stupendously well for motorcycle lovers. After a successful stint at the Auto Expo 2016 the motorcycle industry also had a good time at the recently concluded 2016 IBW, and the motorcycle industry has now come up with amazing surprises from the Kawasaki fleet. Today, at Gurgaon, the Japanese motorcycle maker, Kawasaki has launched the updated versions of two of its superbikes - the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R and ZX-10R at Rs. 17.9 lac (ex-showroom, Delhi) and 16.4 lac (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. Ather S340: India’s First Smart Electric Scooter Unveiled

Ather Energy, a Bangalore-based technology start-up by two IIT graduates, has unveiled country’s first smart electric scooter today. One of the two founders and CEO of the company, Mr. Tarun Mehta has displayed the fully in-house developed scooter. He explained the functioning and features of this latest offering and told that it will be retailed online in the beginning. Also, this scooter will be available for a test ride in coming months starting from Bengaluru. Read More  

Honda NAVi: 500 Units Booked and Counting

Recently, Japanese manufacturer Honda unleashed a major surprise by launching the NAVi in India at the 2016 Auto Expo. The moto-scooter had received a tremendous response from the spectators at the event and as per reports, over 500 units of the NAVi have been booked online already. Most of the buyers are from metro cities, and the targetted urban youth audience seems to be taking well to this unconventional two-wheeler, suggest reports doing the rounds online. Read More

Special Edition Mahindra Gusto VX Launched in India

Less than a month after introducing two-tone paint schemes with its latest scooter, Gusto 125, Mahindra Two-wheelers has launched a special edition version of its smaller sibling, Gusto 110, and priced it at Rs. 49,350 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This special edition model is only available in VX trim and gets Ice Cool Red and Silvern Magenta colour options, while the scooter remains mechanically unchanged. Read More
