Yamaha is all set to launch the BS6.2-compliant versions of the MT-15 V2, FZ-X and R15 V4 on February 13. The company has sent us a ‘Block Your Date’ invite for the event mentioning ‘A New Chapter Unfolding’.
Spy shots of the new models of the MT-15 V2, R15 V4 and the FZ-X have surfaced on the internet, revealing new colour schemes for the three models. The R15 V4’s colour appears to be the same ‘Aggressive Grey’ that debuted in Indonesia recently, but with golden alloys instead of the neon green ones on the Indonesian model. The MT-15 V2 and the FZ-X too get new colours, with the latter getting the dark blue colour, same as the FZ-S, complemented by golden alloy wheels.
Along with the new colours, there are a bunch of serious updates for the bikes. While the R15M will get a TFT console and LED indicators. Even the MT-15 will get the LED blinkers and dual-channel ABS. Recently, leaked RTO documents revealed that the R15 V4’s streetfighter sibling now complies with the latest OBD Stage-II norms.
