Yamaha Mulling Over To Launch Third Facility In India

Yamaha Motor, Japan based, is mulling over to launch third manufacturing facility in India. Presently the company is seating on number third position in Indian two wheeler market and doing well well through its revolutionary bikes. It's 100 per cent subsidiary IYM is spreading wings across the country and now the company is looking for to launch third manufacturing plant in India.
After separation Hero Honda all Indian two wheeler giant seek to grab the number one position in this world's second largest two wheeler market. Yamaha is the first company which came with entry level sports bike model in domestic market like Yamaha R15. The bike is getting buzz response from buyers and is first choice of youths. After this revolutionary bike, Yamaha launched lots of sports bikes in India like Yamaha Fazer, Yamaha SZ, Yamaha FZ 1 etc and all the bikes are doing well.
Trough its reliable and very well performer bikes, the company stood 44.3 per cent growth in domestic two-wheeler market in the month of March this year as against same month of previous year. The company sold 25,784 units of two wheelers in domestic market in March, 2011 as compared to 17,864 units in same month of year 2010. Now it is trying to push more and more bikes in India.
Yamaha is exporting its bikes to foreign countries like Latin America and Africa. The company want to spread it with high speed to fill up the gape of demand and delivery and going to launch this third facility in India. presently the company is selling 4.5 lakh bikes in Indian and foreign market but now it's eyeing to total sales of 5 lakh units in this year.
India Yamaha Motor Pvt Ltd to invest 300 crore until 2012 in its Surajpur plant and expecting production capacity of 10 lakh units by 2013. And by 2013 it is planing to sell 8 lakh bikes in domestic market and 2 lakh bikes overseas market. While it is planing to spread production capacity of its Faridabad plant.
