Here’s everything you need to know about the cargo electric scooter before its launch
Zelio EBikes has teased the upcoming Logix cargo electric scooter before its launch. The e-scooter is primarily meant for commercial purposes. The brand claims that this is a completely made-in-India scooter, and has also revealed some of its details.
Logix is claimed to have a top speed of 25kmph. This means it can be ridden by anyone since it doesn’t require RTO registration or a Driving licence. While the top speed might not seem a lot, it makes perfect sense for business purposes. Businesses do not have to worry about the extra costs of commercial vehicle registration as well as other related compliances. The low top speed also helps in increasing the range of the e-scooter, which is said to be 90km. That’s enough for almost a full day’s worth of urban transportation.
The battery and charging details aren’t yet disclosed; however, with the range, it is most likely that the scooter will be charged through the night after being used during the day. This could allow businesses to run their logistics rather easily.
On that note, the Logix is also claimed to have a payload capacity of 150kg, which sounds quite adequate for its intended use. However, running at full payload might just affect the top-speed as well as the real-world range of the scooter. But that’s something we will have to test out when we review the scooter.
The e-scooter is scheduled to be launched this month (September 2024), and will be available at all showrooms selling Zelio scooters.
Zelio Ebikes currently has a range of 8 personal e-scooters already on sale. These are priced between Rs 54,575 and Rs 87,543. These are all low-speed scooters (max top speed of 25kmph), and take anywhere between 4 to 9 hours to charge, depending on the model. They also have other models, which are specifically meant for commercial use.
