The upcoming variant will get cosmetic changes and will come equipped with a single-channel ABS instead of the dual-channel unit seen on the standard model. Expect the upcoming variant to be priced around Rs 1.47 lakh, making it Rs 7,000 to Rs 8,000 more affordable than the standard variant.

Overview
Royal Enfield is well known for its classic and retro-themed motorcycles. The manufacturer offers 5 kinds of a machine that are Cafe racer, Retro street, Standard street, Cruiser and Adventure tourer. The cruiser range of the machine includes two models, i.e., Thunderbird 350 and its elder sibling 500. Both bikes are same in appearance, but there is only one thing that can differentiate them easily that is engine displacement and fuel supply system. Both bikes are available in same colors namely Flicker, Lightning, Marine, and Stone.
Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 is provided with a 346cc, air-cooled, single cylinder, 4-stroke, twin spark engine that comes mated to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox. The mill is tuned to generate 19.8 bhp of power at 5250 rpm along with 28 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. It uses a wet, multiplate clutch that transmits the power to the rear wheel. The bike runs on 90/90 - 19, 52P front and 120/80 - 18, 62P rear tyres that are fitted over spoke wheels. The braking system of the bike is comprises of a reliable 280mm disc, 2-piston caliper brake at front and a 240mm disc, single piston caliper brake at the rear end. Furthermore, its suspension system includes 41mm telescopic forks, 130mm travel up front and Twin gas charged shock absorbers with 5-step adjustable preload, 80mm travel at the rear end.
The bike is one of the most popular cruiser bikes in the country due to its powerful engine and dynamic design. The motorcycle sports a unique projector lamp, well-crafted instrument panel, electric start, LED tail lights and a backrest for the pillion rider. It comes with overall body dimensions of 2060 mm in length, 790 mm in width, 1205 mm in height along with 1350 mm of wheelbase. It has a minimum ground clearance of 140mm that offers a good stability while cornering. Besides this, it has a neatly designed fuel tank that can hold 20 liters that is good enough for long distance riding. The Thunderbird 350 faces competition from Mahindra Mojo and Dominar 400.

Design
Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 is designed to serve the young generation of the country that would love to use the technology of their time yet feel enticed to the cult of Royal Enfield. The front profile of the bike features a round shaped headlight with a projector lamp along with bullet shaped turn blinkers that are mounted around it and unique position light guide. Its instrument cluster is comprises of digital and analogue gauges that are easy to read and display about fuel level indicator, dual trip meter and other tell tales. Furthermore, the machine sports a teardrop shaped fuel tank with amazing paint work that adds some shine to the bike. Besides this, it also features a high handlebar and forward set foot controls that offer an optimum comfort and good riding posture.
The bike equipped with a double saddle seat along with a backrest for pillion that looks both comfortable and attractive. Apart from this, the bike also features an elegant petite LED tail light with rear blinkers that finds their place on rear fender that carries a light reflector and a number plate. It has overall body measurement of 2060 mm in length, 790 mm in width, 1205 mm in height along with 1350 mm of wheelbase. The kerb weight of the machine is 192 kg that makes it easy to manage and also improves the stability of the ride. It has the minimum ground clearance of 140mm, that provides a smooth stability around the corners.

Thunderbird 350 is propelled by a 346cc, single cylinder, 4-stroke, twin spark, air-cooled engine that comes coupled to a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox, that works with a wet, multiplate clutch. The mill churns out a maximum power of 19.8bhp at 5250 rpm and a peak torque of 28 Nm at 4000 rpm. It is fitted with a 20 liters huge fuel tank that offers a decent amount of mileage of 53.4kmpl. The bike can hit a top speed of 130 kmph. It has a compression ration of 8.5:1 and a power oriented bore x stroke ratio of 70 mm x 90 mm.
