Yamaha R7
The Yamaha YZF-R7 is the spiritual successor of the now-discontinued Yamaha R6. But the R7 is powered by a 689cc, parallel-twin engine. It comes with aggressive looks and its fairing design seems to be inspired by the R6 and R1.

Yamaha R7 Summary
The Yamaha YZF-R7 has been showcased at the Auto Expo 2025, along with the MT-07 and other Yamaha bikes.
The Yamaha R7 is powered by a 689cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that produces 73.4PS at 8,750rpm and 67Nm at 6,500rpm, which is the same as the MT-07. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox, paired with a slip-and-assist clutch. You can opt for an upshift-only quickshifter as an optional fitment.
The R7 comes with a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity. It offers features like call/SMS alerts and navigation. The bike also gets electronic throttle, switchable traction control, wheelie control and riding modes. It also has an all LED lighting setup.
Suspension duties are handled by a fully adjustable 41mm KYB inverted fork and an adjustable link-type monoshock. Braking is taken care of by twin 298mm discs up front and a 245mm disc at the rear. Yamaha has equipped it with switchable dual-channel ABS.
We expect Yamaha to launch the R7 by the end of 2025. It will rival the 2025 Honda CBR650R, Triumph Daytona 660 and the Kawasaki Ninja 650.
