5 Most Powerful Bikes of 2015

When we talk about superbikes, the first thing that comes to our mind is ‘power’ because we all know that these machines are known for giving a ferocious performance. The latest talk of the town is are the supersport motorcycles producing around 200PS of raw power. In 2015, India has also witnessed the launch of some of such superbikes that created a new benchmark in the market. So, here we are with the countdown of some of the most powerful bikes available in the country.

5. MV Agusta F4:


Launched in October 2015 with a price tag of Rs. 25.5 lac (ex-showroom, Pune), MV Agusta F4 is one of the most beautiful supersport motorcycles on the planet. Though coming on the fifth spot in terms of power, the motorcycle is a 998cc, 4-stroke, 16-valve, in-line four-cylinder engine that comes with the ELDOR electronics package, comprising of Ride-By-Wire and four engine maps. The motor has been tuned to produce up to 195hp of power at 13,400rpm and torque up to 110.8Nm at 9,600rpm.

4. Yamaha YZF-R1M 197bhp:

Yamaha has introduced its new flagship, YZF-R1M, in India in April 2015 at Rs. 29.43 lac (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is a superior version of the 2015 YZF-R1 with higher factory specification, enabling every racer and track rider to discover their true potential and comes on the fourth spot in terms of power. The bike sports a 998cc, liquid cooled, inline 4-cylinder engine based on the company’s conventional crossplane technology. It makes power up to 197.26bhp at 13,500rpm and torque up to 112.4Nm at 11,500rpm.

3. Suzuki Hayabusa Z Limited Edition 194.4bhp:

On the third spot we have a limited edition of the most popular sportbike in India, Suzuki Hayabusa Z, which was launched in February 2015 with a price tag of Rs. 16.20 lac (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike cost just around Rs. 25,000 extra as compared to the standard version and it gets a ‘Yoshimura Slip-On R-77J Carbon End Exhaust’. Propelling the Hayabusa Z is the 1,340cc, liquid-cooled, in-line four-cylinder, DOHC engine that churns out a maximum power of 194.4bhp at 9,500rpm along with a torque up to 155Nm at just 7,200rpm.

2. Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R in White Shade:

The bike who kept the crown of world’s fastest production motorcycle for 6 years since its launch, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R has earned the second spot on the list. Launched with a new White shade in March 2015, this bike comes powered by a 1,441cc, liquid cooled, inline 4-cylinder engine that produces up to 207bhp of power at 10,000rpm with Ram Air and delivers a massive peak torque of 158.2Nm at just 7,500rpm.

1. Kawasaki Ninja H2:

In April 2015, India got its fastest accelerating machine and that is none other than the supercharged Kawasaki Ninja H2 and undoubtedly it tops the list on this countdown. The highly advanced supersport machine comes packed with most of the latest technologies available in the respective segment and it keeps a sticker price tag of Rs. 29 lac (ex-showroom, Pune). It sports the only supercharged motorcycle engine in production that is a 999cc, liquid cooled, inline 4-cylinder mill. The motor makes power up to 207bhp at 11,000rpm using the Ram Air and produces torque up to 133.5Nm at 10,500rpm.
