Celebrate the Spirit of Freedom: On a Motorcycle

To think of it, we don’t really need any reason to celebrate love and friendship or even parenthood. Of course, there are birthdays, anniversaries and other such occasions that do give us reason to celebrate our loved ones. Yet, as we live today, we have so many “Day” to celebrate love, friendship, fathers, mothers and if I’m not wrong, brothers and sisters as well! Does it feel funny?

However, there are certain historic events that are rightfully celebrated to honor the sacrifice and hard work of people who led the path for an independent nation like ours. We are on the verge of having our Independence Day tomorrow on 15th August and while many of us plan to fly kites and do other stuff to enjoy the day, taking a motorcycle ride out of the daily routine could be one of the best ways to celebrate the spirit of independence.

Motorcycles, for long, have been associated with the idea of being independent. Certain companies actually market their motorcycles on the very essence of freedom, Harley Davidson in particular comes to mind. Open road and wind in the air are the golden words often said to illustrate the feeling of being free that motorcycles bring. If you are someone who enjoys riding bikes, these words are likely to resonate in your mind.

It’s not without reason. There is no other vehicle on the planet that lets you stay closer to the nature while taking a journey. The level of involvement, that sense of adventure and risk is what makes it worthwhile. After all, freedom isn’t without a risk and that is why we enjoy it as we overcome the fear of it.

So, take out your ride or get one and realize a different meaning of being free.
