11th Yamaha ASEAN Cup Race set for 6th - 7th December

The 11th Yamaha ASEAN Cup Race is all set to roar into action on 6th - 7th December at the Sentul International Circuit in West Java, Indonesia, and four Indian riders are going to represent Yamaha Motor India Sales at the event. Yamaha Motor group company P.T. Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing will host the event at the 3.96 km circuit. Launched in 2003, the Yamaha ASEAN Cup Race is an event that aims to promote the sporty image of the Yamaha brand throughout the ASEAN region. 

Living up to its commitment to provide an international racing platform to the Indian racing enthusiasts, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd will be taking 4 top performing riders from the final round of the National level R15 One Make Race Championship 2014 that was recently concluded at the Madras Motor Race Track in Chennai. The R15 One Make Race Championship is an annual racing event being organized by Yamaha since 2010. The event this year was organized in association with the Madras Motor Sports Club (MMSC) and the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI) and is a part of the Indian National Racing Championship 2014.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ravinder Singh, VP-Strategy & Planning, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd, Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. This year we have identified the 4 best riders from our national level championship to participate in the 11th Yamaha ASEAN cup race. The Riders who will be representing Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. ltd at the 11th Yamaha ASEAN Cup Race 2014 are as follows:

The Yamaha ASEAN Cup Race 2014 is an international one-make championship competition to crown the No. 1 rider in the ASEAN region. The riders from India will be contesting in two categories: STR15 class using the ‘YZF-R15’ street sports model and STR25 using the ‘YZF-R25’ sport model. Seventy Two riders from six participating nations (Philippines, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan and Indonesia) have been chosen via national qualifiers in their respective countries.
