Announcements about two new 650cc bikes and the manufacturer’s first electric bike were the highlights
Royal Enfield made a big bang at EICMA 2024 with a few big announcements about its future offerings and two of its upcoming motorcycles. Here’s what we saw from the Chennai-based manufacturer at the motor show:
Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6
Royal Enfield unveiled its first ever electric bike, called the Flying Flea C6. The retro, electric roadster looks very unique and gets a round LED headlight, teardrop-shaped slim “tank and cooling fans for the battery pack placed below the ‘fuel tank’ shaped area. The most unique thing about the bike is obviously the girder fork, which is a big nod to the bikes of the yesteryears.
Royal Enfield Bear 650
After countless spy shots of the 650cc scrambler, Royal Enfield launched the Bear 650 with prices starting from Rs 3.39 Lakh (ex-showroom). It is based on the Interceptor 650 and changes like the round racing number plate in the middle section and the completely redesigned tail section distinguishes the scrambler from the roadster pretty well.
Royal Enfield Classic 650
We have been waiting for a bigger capacity Classic for sometime now and at EICMA 2024, Royal Enfield took the wraps off the Classic 650. It is based on the same platform as the Super Meteor 650 and the Shotgun 650 and is powered by the same 647.95cc, parallel-twin engine. On the exterior, it looks like a bigger version of the Classic 350 with the same retro aesthetics and bold road presence.
