The Indian Motorcycle has announced the relaunching of the 1940's iconic Roadmaster in a new avatar during the 74th Strugis Motorcycle Rally, starting from 4th August, 2014. The company has already unveiled the 2015 Indian Roadmaster, which will be the flagship model in its range.
The new Roadmaster is based on the current model of the Indian Chieftain with some major comfort and convenience upgradations, which makes it a super luxury tourer. It features-
* Horizon Power Windshield, which can be adjusted using a push-button.
* Over 140 litres of waterproof storage in the form of remotely lockable hard saddle bags, trunk, lower and easy accessible front storage in the lowers.
* Extra cushioned heated seats with full back support for the pillion rider, covered by Desert Tan genuine leather.
* Heated grips with temperature adjustability.
* Adjustable foot-boards for ultimate ride experience and comfort.
* The iconic War Bonnet.
* LED headlamps, tail light, turn signal lamps and War Bonnet fender lamp for brightest and reliable lighting.
* Keyless ignition with push button start
* The powerful and reliable Thunder Stroke 111 engine.
* Muscular 46mm telescopic front forks.
* Adjustable, pneumatic single-shock at the rear.
* 300mm dual front and single rear disc brakes with ABS assistance.
* Detailed instrumentation using analog-digital gauges and 15 tell tale lamps.
* 200 Watt stereo system with AM/FM, Bluetooth and Smartphone compatible input.
Powering the bike is the same Thunder Stroke 111 engine, which is powering the entire Indian Motorcycle range. It is a 1811cc V-twin motor, which churns out 138.9Nm of peak torque between 2600-3000rpm.
Indian Motorcycles will also provide some additional custom accessories with the bike including high flow air cleaner, Pinnacle heel shifter, chrome trunk armrest supports, durable saddlebags, chrome trunk rack and trunk rack bag.
Starting price of the 2015 Indian Roadmaster is $26,999, which is just $3,000 higher than the Chieftain. The bike will compete with other super luxury cruisers in the International market like Harley Davidson Street Glide and Honda Goldwing.
