2016 Auto Expo: Hyosung Could Unveil GD250R

The Korean motorcycle manufacturer may showcase its quarter-liter bike named as Hyosung GD250R at the Auto Expo. The bike will be the most affordable offering from the stable of the company for the Indian line-up. It is a fully faired machine and it will be benchmarked against KTM RC 200 and Honda CBR 250R. As we had earlier reported, that the Hyosung’s GT300R and GT650R are slated for launch in India, we believe, that the Korean bike maker could also reveal GD 250R at the launch event of GT 300R and 650R.
Hyosung GD 250R will be powered by a 250cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that will come mated to a 6-speed transmission system. The mill is expected to produce 27.6bhp of power at 9500 rpm along with 24Nm at 7500rpm. Besides this, the bike will be fitted with 300mm and 230mm petal disc brakes at the front and the rear, respectively. Furthermore, the bike will also be equipped with a upside-down telescopic fork at the front and mono shock absorber at the rear.
Coming to the looks, the quarter-liter sportbike GD250R is speculated to be loaded with numerous aesthetics that include twin headlamp, muscular fuel tank, windshield, split step up seat and keen exhausts system. The front fairing of the bike will feature a 250R written on it in different languages. Talking about the rear, the bike will be equipped with an LED tail lamp and clear lens turn blinker are mounted on the rear fender. It is also expected that the fully faired quarter-liter machine and will share the stage with its elder sibling GD300R.
