Bajaj has officially confirmed that it is going to launch the 2016 Bajaj Avenger range of cruisers on 27th October. The company hasn’t revealed the name of the new models yet, however, the 220 Street and 220 Cruise models are already spotted in India. Both the models are looking quite refreshing and well updated cosmetically.
The Avenger 220 Street is a sporty cruiser, which is looking inspired by the Harley-Davidson Street 750. Major updates to the motorcycle are its interesting Dark Custom paint scheme, new exhaust muffler, redesigned rear grab rail and 12-spoke alloy wheels.
The Avenger 220 Cruise is looking almost similar to the existing one, however, it gets some more chrome elements and some feature updates.
Both the 2016 Bajaj Avengers has received digital odo/trip meter along with 3D metallic badging on the fuel tank. Powering the new models is looking the same 220cc, air-cooled motor that comes with an oil-cooled and also powers the existing version of the motorcycle. It makes 18.8bhp of maximum power and a peak torque of 17.5Nm, however, we can expect a performance increment via some alterations in the engine.
Bajaj has also updated its official website of the launch, and also teasing a part of the upcoming Avenger Street along with the launch date on social media platform.
