Suzuki has unveiled the 2025 Gixxer SF 250 in India, with a starting price of Rs 2.07 lakh (ex-showroom) which is about Rs 2,000 more than the outgoing top variant, the Ride Connect Edition. This new version of the popular 250cc sportbike now meets the new and upcoming OBD-2B (On-Board Diagnostics) emissions standards, ensuring better environmental compliance. Additionally, the 2025 model gets three new colour options.
Colours
The 2025 Gixxer SF 250 is now available in a total of three new colour schemes, with one single-tone colour: Metallic Mat Black No. 2, and two dual-tone colours: Metallic Triton Blue/Pearl Glacier White and Metallic Mat Black No. 2/Metallic Mat Bordeaux Red.
Engine
The updated GIxxer SF 250 gets no mechanical changes as such and carries over the BS6-complaint, 249cc, air and oil cooled, single-cylinder engine from the older model. The motor produces the same 26.5PS and 22.2Nm, and is mated to a six-speed gearbox just like before.
Features
The Gixxer SF 250 gets the same features from the previous model like the fully digital instrument cluster that was only available on the top 'Ride Connect Edition'. The console gets smartphone Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and call and SMS alerts. It also comes equipped with a LED headlight and tail-light, with dual-channel ABS offered as part of the standard equipment.
Bookings & Rivals
Suzuki has opened bookings for the 2025 Gixxer SF 250, and deliveries are expected to start soon. The SF250 falls into the fully-faired sport bike segment and rivals the likes of bikes such as the Hero Karizma XMR 210, the Yamaha R15 V4, and the newly launched 2025 Bajaj Pulsar RS200.
