2016 Bajaj Avenger Street and Cruise to be launched on 27th October 2015

Just now, we have got a block date invite for a Bajaj Auto event on Tuesday, October 27th, 2015. And we believe that the company could launch its new Avenger Street 220 and Cruise 220 models at the event. Both the models were recently spotted in India with some cosmetic updates and were looking ready to roll-out in the market.

Both the 2016 Avenger Street and Cruise sport the same 220cc, air/oil-cooled engine, which powers the existing model with 18.8bhp and gives torque up to 17.5Nm. Also, we are not expecting any mechanical change in the motorcycle except some visual and feature updates like new colour schemes, style elements, digital odo/trip meter and much more.

The new Bajaj Avenger Street 220 is inspired by the Harley-Davidson Street 750 and gets a Dark Custom theme like the latest Pulsar RS 200 Demon Black edition. Most of the parts of the bike have been painted in Matte Black including the elements, which comes with chrome finish in the existing model. Other major updates in the Avenger Street are new 12-spoke alloy wheels, new exhaust muffler and rear grab rail.

The new Avenger Cruise 220 looks almost similar to the existing version and just gets some more chrome elements and new badging with metallic logos on the fuel tank. The new models of the bike are expected to be priced slightly higher than the existing one. Again, there is not any cruiser available in India under Rs. 1 lac, so still no direct competition for the Avenger.
