The recently unveiled 2016 model of Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R will soon be marking its footprints to the Indian shores, a report suggests. The bike will be launched soon after the arrival of Kawasaki’s middleweight sports tourer - Versys 650, which is scheduled to be launched in India next month. The upgraded ZX-10R has been developed in coordination with Kawasaki’s Racing Team to step up the game in the litre-class segment. The machine will reach the dealerships via CBU (Completely Built Unit) and will be marketed exclusively through Kawasaki dealerships.
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R is on official sale since three years from now and the manufacturer wishes to release it in India soon just like other international markets. The 2016 ZX-10R comes with the same design philosophy but with heavy additions to the technical and electronics package. Powering the bike is an updated 998cc, in-line four cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that comes linked to a six-speed transmission set up and unleashes 197bhp of brute power.
Talking of electronics, the bike has been assisted with a number of goodies like Kawasaki Launch Control, Kawasaki Intelligent ABS, Kawasaki Engine brake control, Kawasaki Quick shifter and much more. The fierce stopping power is provided by twin 330mm disc brakes upfront and a single 220mm disc brake at the rear. Coming to the pricing, Kawasaki will price the 2016 model slightly higher than the existing version for the numerous benefits it has been blessed with. Stay tuned for more updates.
