Iconic American motorcycle manufacturer, Indian Motorcycle, has introduced the 2016 Indian Chieftain Dark Horse with matte black paint, a flicker of chrome, and a wealth of features. The hard bagger has been priced at $21,999 (approximately Rs. 14.65 lakh) in the US, which is around $1,000 lesser than that of the standard Chieftain. The cost cutting has resulted from the elimination of chrome from the motorcycle, lending the new edition conveys a menacing attitude thanks to its dark finish.

Apart from the visuals, there aren’t any changes in the motorcycle, and mechanically it remains the same Indian Chieftain which is available in the Indian market as well. All the key features of the bike are untouched, including the Thunderstroke 111 engine, power windshield, cruise control, anti-lock braking system (ABS), premium audio system, and much more. The iconic Thunderstroke 111 engine is a massive 1,811cc V-twin motor which produces up to 161.6Nm of torque at just 3,000rpm.

However, the company is offering a large selection of authentic factory accessories to individualise the bike with performance improvement, better audio system, and – if you’re the sort who absolutely has to have the most stealth look possible -- more black.
