The 2016 TVS Apache RTR has been spotted testing again in India, which is expected to be powered by a bigger 200cc motor. Although, the test mule was fully covered, ‘TVS’ logo on the engine crankcase cover revealed that it is coming from the den of Chennai based manufacturer.
Apart from that, the front telescopic forks and the petal disc brake design of the test bike are identical to the existing Apache RTR 180. Also, if you look at the extended fuel tank and alloy wheels of the bike, they seem to have taken inspiration from concept Draken X-21 of the company, showcased in Auto Expo 2014.
Talking about the cosmetic updates, you can see a flattered bikini fairing with the headlamp and a bigger engine bottom cowl on the test mule. It also has a flamboyant exhaust muffler, which is looking much unique than the other motorcycles in the respective segment. There will be much more changes in the styling of the next-gen Apache, however, its overall size seems to be unchanged.
The 2016 TVS Apache RTR will be an all new motorcycle with upgraded technology as well as equipment. Along with all the cosmetic updates, it will also get features like rear mono-shock, wider tyres, boosted performance and much more. The bike could also get a fuel injection system for an enhanced response as well as better fuel economy.
We can expect to see the new Apache RTR at the upcoming Auto Expo in February 2016 and the launch could happen in the same year.
