The updates are limited to the cosmetic front
Along with the YZF lineup, Yamaha’s MT series has also garnered quite a fanbase over the years. With gradual updates to the looks, motor, and underpinnings, the MT models have come a long way. For 2021, Yamaha has updated the MT-25 and MT-03 with new colours.
Launched in its homeland, the 2021 Yamaha MT-25 and MT-03 are now available in three paint schemes: pastel dark grey, deep purplish blue metallic, and matte dark grey metallic. Apart from the new colours, Yamaha hasn’t changed anything else on the two bikes.
Both bikes are powered by a liquid-cooled inline twin-cylinder motor, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The MT-25’s 249cc motor makes 35PS and 23Nm, whereas the MT-03’s 320cc mill produces 42PS and 29Nm.

Everything else, including the features and underpinnings, is identical on both MTs. In Japan, the 2021 Yamaha MT-25 is priced at JPY 6,21,500 (approximately Rs 4.20 lakh), whereas the 2021 Yamaha MT-03 retails at JPY 6,54,500 (approximately Rs 4.43 lakh).
As of now, Yamaha India has no intentions of launching either of the bikes in the country. In other news, the new FZ-X has also been spotted in all its glory and here’s what we know so far.
