Benelli had launched the BS4 version of the Leoncino 250 in the Indian market in October 2019. However, with the arrival of the stringent BS6 emission norms, the brand had to discontinue the model. And, now finally at the end of 2021, Benelli has yet again unveiled its Euro 5 model, globally.
While the motorcycle looks more or less similar to its predecessor, it has received a few updates for the model year 2022. The latest iteration of the bike gets new graphics and paint scheme, and an LED headlight with upside-down 'U' shaped LED DRL. The Leoncino 250 also comes equipped with a fully digital instrument cluster which is expected to also feature Bluetooth connectivity.
Powering the 2022 Benelli Leoncino 250 is a 250cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that sits in a steel tube trellis frame and puts out 25.83PS and 21Nm.
The ride of the Leoncino 250 is taken care of by a 41mm USD fork upfront and a monoshock. Meanwhile, for braking, it employs 280/240mm discs at both ends.
The scrambler rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels that are wrapped in tyres having 110-section at the front and 150-section at the back.
The 2022 Leoncino 250 will be available in four colour options: white, anthracite, red and green. However, the Italian bike maker has not yet revealed the price of the bike. While the Euro 5 model of the Leoncino 250 is unveiled globally, it's likely to arrive in India in the first quarter of 2022.
