The e-scooter gets two variants and offers a claimed range of 140km
Hero Electric has launched the 2022 Optima CX in two variants: a single battery CX variant priced at Rs 62,190 and a dual battery pack CX ER (extended range) variant priced at Rs 77,490, both prices ex-showroom Delhi post Fame II subsidy.
In terms of appearance, the Optima CX retains the styling from the Optima HX – a simple and clean body design with an LED headlight set up. It is available in three colour options: grey, blue and white. The company also claims to have updated the chassis, which is now 25 percent sturdier.
Powering the Optima CX is a 550W BLDC hub motor, producing 1.2kW of peak power. It is paired to a 52.2V, 30Ah lithium ferro phosphate battery pack. The battery takes 4-5 hours to charge completely.

The e-scooter has a claimed top speed of 45kmph, slightly higher than Optima HX’s 42kmph top speed. The company claims to have improved the efficiency of the motor by 10 percent, and to accommodate that performance, the brakes are also made better by 30 percent. The e-scooter is claimed to offer a range of 82km, whereas the CX ER variant offers a claimed range of 140km.
It comes packed with features like a digital instrument cluster, cruise control, walk assist function, reverse mode, remote lock with anti-theft alarm, USB charging port and LED headlights.
The Hero Optima CX rivals the likes of Bounce Infinity E1, BGauss A2, and Ampere Magnus.
