2024 Bajaj Pulsar 150: Same Price Other Options

Bajaj Auto has launched the 2024 Pulsar 150 in India at Rs 1,13,696 (ex-showroom Delhi), which is Rs 3,277 more than the previous model. The bike now comes with a fully digital instrument console and Bluetooth connectivity along with updated colours and graphics.

The Bajaj Pulsar 150 continues to be powered by the same 149.50cc, air-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 14PS and 13.25Nm. Here is a list of other bikes and scooters that you can buy for a similar price:

1. TVS Apache RTR 160 2V Disc BT: Rs 1,27,220 (ex-showroom)

Engine: 159.7cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine

TVS Apache RTR 160 2V Disc BT

The TVS Apache RTR 160 2V, one of TVS’ oldest bikes that’s still on sale, has gained the trust of many. It is a sporty naked bike and comes with muscular styling. It is available in six colour options including T Grey, Matte Blue, Racing Red, Gloss Black, Pearl White and the latest Glossy Black.

The Apache RTR 160 2V gets three riding modes: Sport, Urban, and Rain. In sport mode it produces  16.04PS at 8750rpm and 13.85Nm at 7000rpm, whereas the power drops to 13.32PS at 8000rpm and 12.7Nm at 6500rpm in urban and rain modes.

The RTR 160 2V has a full-LED headlight with LED DRLs (daytime running lights) and an LED tail lamp. It is equipped with a full LCD instrument cluster which includes a speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, odometer, tripmeters, clock, gear indicator, and riding data. The range-topping RTR 160 2V Disc BT variant comes with Bluetooth connectivity with call and SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation. The naked 160 also gets clip-on handlebars and split pillion grab rails.

2. Hero Xtreme 160R Connected - Rs 1,32,832 (ex-showroom)

Hero MotoCorp’s offering in the highly competitive sporty 150-160cc segment, the Xtreme 160R is one of the most versatile bikes, offering a good combination of performance, features, comfort and looks. The range-topping Xtreme 160R Connected variant is available in a single Matt Black colour, and also gets additional hand guards, compared to other variants.

Feature-wise, the Xtreme 160R Connected variant is pretty loaded. It has all-LED lighting and gets a full LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity for call/SMS alerts and more than 20 connected features like vehicle diagnostics, live tracking, find my bike, and panic alerts. The display also showcases readouts like speed, odometer, RPMs, fuel level, tripmeter, digital clock, gear indicator and other basic information. It also gets a USB charging port which is neatly placed below the keyhole.

3. Yamaha FZ-S Fi V3 Dark Knight: Rs 1,22,700 (ex-showroom)

Power: 12.4PS at 7250rpm and 13.3Nm at 5500rpm

Yamaha FZ-S Fi V3 Dark Knight

The Yamaha FZ-S Fi V3 is the Japanese manufacturer’s take on the 150cc sporty commuter segment. Despite the bike’s sporty and muscular looks, it focuses more on comfort than performance. While Matte Grey and Matte Red colours are also available, the Yamaha FS-S Fi V3 Dark Knight is the only one with smartphone connectivity.

The FZ-S Fi V3 Dark Knight variant has an LED headlight and bulb-type indicators. It is equipped with a negatively-lit LCD instrument console which displays speedometer, odometer, tachometer, fuel level, trip meter, and other basic tell-tale lights. It also has an Eco indicator which lets riders know if they are riding in a way that maximises the bike’s mileage output. 

The 150cc Yamaha gets smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth which enables connected features including hazard lights, ‘Locate My Bike’, answer back function, and parking record, and more through the Yamaha Motorcycle Connect app.

4. TVS Ntorq 125 XT: Rs 1,04,641 (ex-showroom Delhi)

The TVS Ntorq 125 is one of the best-selling sporty scooters in the 125cc segment. The Ntorq 125 XT is its top-of-the-line variant, and is available in a single Neon paint scheme. While not as powerful as the Race XP, the XT is the Ntorq's most feature-loaded variant.

The Ntorq 125 XT variant features a TFT instrument cluster with two screens. Along with the basic info like speedometer, odometer, fuel gauge, it comes with turn-by-turn navigation with call and SMS alerts. The scooter even displays social media, food delivery, and e-commerce app notifications on the screen to keep you posted with all your important updates. And that’s not it, the scooter takes it one step ahead for all the cricket fans with 'Live Cricket Scores' on the go. Now, that’s a feature like no other.

The Ntorq XT’s console also displays phone battery and signal strength, engine temperature, lap timer, last-parked location assistance, and voice assistance through an exclusive rider's app. The console offers Street and Sports display modes. The Ather Rizta, the latest launch from the Bengaluru-based EV two-wheeler manufacturer, is a family-oriented electric scooter that focuses on practicality and convenience. The Rizta Z (2.9kWh) is the mid-spec variant with all the features of the top variant, but with a 2.9kWh battery pack. The Ather Rizta Z comes in 7 colours including 3 monotone and 4 dual-tone colour options (Siachen White, Deccan Grey, Pangong Blue, Deccan Grey dual-tone, Pangong Blue dual-tone, Cardamom Green, and Alphonso Yellow).

The Ather Rizta Z is equipped with all-LED lighting and features a full-colour TFT console from the 450X, but with a revised layout. It offers integrated WhatsApp, Alexa and Google Maps navigation. Feature-list is the same as the 450X, including hill-hold assist, reverse mode, and fall safe, which turns off the motor if the scooter falls. The Rizta also includes 'Magic twist' and regen braking. The Rizta gets two riding modes: Smart Eco and Zip.

Moreover, it also includes a multi-purpose charging port for different devices, ‘AtherSkidControl’ (traction control), an Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), and a 34-litre boot space combined with a 22-litre frunk, providing a total of 56 litres of storage capacity.
