The bike now comes in a single variant with three colour options and is more stylish, comfortable, safer and feature-loaded than before
The 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V has been launched at Rs 1,38,500 (ex-showroom Delhi). Unlike earlier, the bike is now available in a single variant only and comes with three colour schemes: Neon Shooting Star, Stealth Black and a new Kevlar Brown colour, which is Rs 1,000 more than the other two colours and is priced at Rs 1,39,500 (ex-showroom). That’s not it, the bike has also been updated with new features, making it safer and more comfortable than before.
What’s New?
The 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V now comes in a new Kevlar Brown colour option. This dual-tone finish combines black and brown shades, with black as the base colour. The front fender is half brown and half black, while the tank extensions that extend to the sides are also brown. The bike features golden graphics on the tank, tank extensions and lower side panels.
The tail section has been redesigned to accommodate the single-piece seat, which now comes as standard as compared to the split seats available in the older variants. This makes the tail section look bulkier than before. It features a gold Hero logo as well.
The new tail section also features a newly designed tail light. This new tail light also comes with an Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) which makes the tail lamps blink in case of panic braking or when you brake hard. This feature adds another layer of safety as it alerts the riders and drivers behind you, which could prevent anyone from crashing into you from the back.
The Xtreme 160R 4V now also has a drag timer on the instrument cluster. This timer can be used to measure the bike’s acceleration timing when launched from a standstill, like in a drag race. It now also gets smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth as standard, which also brings connected features including call and SMS alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, malfunction alerts, and theft alerts among others.
Moreover, Hero has ditched the telescopic fork option and the bike now gets the KYB inverted fork and a 7-step pre-load adjustable monoshock as standard. It now also gets dual channel ABS as standard accompanied by 276mm front and 220mm rear petal disc brakes.
The 2024 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V continues to be powered by a 163.2cc, air-/-oil-cooled engine that makes 16.9PS at 8500rpm and 14.6Nm at 6500rpm. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The Xtreme 160R 4V rivals other 160cc naked bikes including the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Bajaj Pulsar N160, Pulsar NS160, Suzuki Gixxer and Yamaha FZ-S FI V3.
