The scooter gets a fairly powerful engine, top-shelf features and more!
- The Like 200 has been priced at Rs 1.30 lakh (on-road Delhi).
- Will be available on sale from September 2019.
- It’ll be manufactured in India to keep costs down.
22Kymco has launched the Like200 in India today at Rs 1.30 lakh. Alongside it, the company has also launched the iFlow electric scooter (Rs 90,000) and the X-Town 300i ABS maxi-scooter (Rs 2.30 lakh, on-road Delhi). To keep costs down, all three scooters will be manufactured at the company’s plant in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, and will be available for sale from September 2019.
But before we get started, it is important to note that while the company has ‘launched’ the Like200, the scooter is yet to be presented in its full production form. The model displayed at the launch event was the Like150 which is sold abroad.

The Like scooter features a classic neo-retro design reminiscent of the Vespa scooters. To blend modern elements with the retro styling, it gets all-LED lighting and a fully digital instrument console. Interestingly, Kymco has placed the 7-litre fuel tank under the floorboard for better mass centralization.

Powering the petrol-powered Like200 is a 163cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. Unfortunately, the company is yet to reveal the power and torque figures of the scooter. However, its 150cc variant makes 13.4PS of power and 11.8Nm of torque. Considering this, we expect the Like 200 to make somewhere around 15PS of power and 13Nm of torque. For reference, the Aprilia SR 150 makes 10.2PS of power and 10.9Nm of torque.
Kymco also offers an electric variant of the scooter, called the Like EV, in international markets. We expect it to come to India soon as well under the new 22Kymco banner.
We also expect the Like 200 to carry similar underpinnings as the Like 150. Here, suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the back. Braking is taken care of by a 220mm disc at the front and a 200mm disc at the rear, aided by single-channel ABS.
In terms of displacement, the Like 200 faces no competition in India. We will be taking the Like 200 for a spin along with the iFlow and the X-Town 300i ABS so stay tuned for our initial impression report.
