Hero MotoCorp has silently discontinued three models from its lineup and have removed them from its official website. The discontinued motorcycles include: Hero Xpulse 200T 4V, Xtreme 200S 4V and the Passion Xtec. Let’s have a look at what these models offered while they were on sale in India.
Hero Xpulse 200T 4V
The Hero Xpulse 200T 4V is a street bike based on the Xpulse 200 4V, which is an off-road bike. The Xpulse 200T shared the same engine as the Xpulse 200, a 199.5cc single-cylinder, air-/oil-cooled, four-valve engine that makes 19.1PS at 8,500rpm and 17.35Nm at 6,500rpm, and is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
The bike got 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends to allow the motorcycle to perform better on tarmac. Just like the design and engine of its offroad sibling, the 200T shared the features as well. The naked tourer had a round LED headlamp with LED DRLs at the front, an LED tail lamp, and a full-LCD instrument console, all shared with the Xpulse 200 4V. The LCD instrument console had a speedometer, tachometer, odometer, trip meters and real-time riding data on display, with it also having Bluetooth connectivity for incoming calls and SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation.
Hero Xtreme 200S 4V
The Hero Xtreme 200S 4V was a fully-faired sports motorcycle from the Jaipur-based manufacturer. It shared many components with the Xpulse 2004V siblings such as the engine and the LCD instrument console but got a different design altogether. The Xtreme 200S 4V had raised clip-on handlebars and rear set footpegs which gave the motorcycle a sporty yet comfortable riding posture. The fully-faired design and the sleep LED headlamp gave the motorcycle a sporty appeal. The bike rode on 17-inch wheels on both ends, got a diamond-type frame, a telescopic fork and a monoshock at the rear.
Hero Passion Xtec
The Hero Passion Xtec was a commuter motorcycle based upon the Passion. The motorcycle came in two variants: Passion Xtec Drum Brake and Passion Xtec Disc Brake. It was powered by a 113.2cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine, generating 9.15PS at 7,500rpm and 9.79Nm at 5,000rpm, paired with a 4-speed gearbox. In terms of features, the Passion Xtec got an LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity to provide alerts for incoming calls and SMS. The LCD instrument console also displayed information such as phone battery percentage, real-time mileage, low-fuel indicator, service reminder and side-stand engine cut-off indicator, apart from the regular set of information. Additionally, the bike also received a USB charging port located on the console.
