Bengaluru is the first city to get the electric scooter, with deliveries starting in 1st week of June
Ampere EV has started deliveries for the recently launched Nexus electric scooter. With Bengaluru being the first city to get the scooter, starting in 1st week of June, deliveries will continue around the country in a phased manner throughout June 2024.
The Ampere Nexus is a family electric scooter, and was launched at Rs 1,09,900, introductory, ex-showroom Delhi including EMPS (Electric Mobility Promotional Scheme 2024). The bookings of the e-scooter started in May 2024 at Rs 9,999.

The Nexus is equipped with an IP67-rated motor that makes 4kW of peak power and is claimed to get a top speed of 93kmph. The electric scooter has a 3kWh battery pack that delivers a claimed range of 136km. It also gets 5 ride modes including Eco, City, Power, Limp Home and Reverse. The scooter charges from 0 to 100 percent in 3.3 hours.
The Ampere Nexus gets all LED lights. The EX variant comes with a 6.2-inch LCD console with basic smartphone connectivity. Whereas the ST variant features a 7-inch TFT touchscreen display with Bluetooth connectivity, it also gets turn-by-turn navigation and Call/SMS alerts. The scooter additionally has auto day/night display modes.
The Nexus e-scooter sits on a steel frame with a hybrid cast and tubular swingarm. It is equipped with a telescopic fork and twin shocks at the rear. Braking on the scooter is managed by a front disc and a drum brake at the rear. It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels, wrapped with tubeless tyres.
The Ampere Nexus competes against other family scooters like Ola S1 Air, Bajaj Chetak, Ather Rizta, TVS iQube and Hero Vida V1 Pro.
