Honda Motorcycle and Scooters India has launched the most awaited Activa e: at Auto Expo 2025. The prices for the Activa electric starts at Rs 1,17,000 (ex-showroom). It claims to have a top speed of 80km and a claimed range of 102km per charge.
We have compiled a list of other bikes and scooters that you can buy in a similar budget instead of the Honda Activa e: including, naked bikes, CNG bike, a 125cc scooter and more:
TVS iQube 2.2kWh
The TVS iQube 2.2kWh variant costs almost Rs 10,000 less at Rs 1,07,299 (ex-showroom). It is an electric family-oriented scooter and a good alternative for the Activa e:. However, with a smaller battery capacity of 2.2kWh, it delivers a slightly less claimed range of 75km. The iQube 2.2kWh charges from 0-80 percent in 2 hours when using a 950W charger.
Featurewise, the iQube 2.2kWh comes equipped with a 5-inch TFT console with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. It also offers call/SMS alerts, geofencing, overspeeding alerts, a USB charging port and a 30-litre underseat storage.
Bajaj Freedom 125
You can also buy the world's first and only CNG bike - Bajaj Freedom 125. The top NG04 LED Disc variant is priced at Rs 1,09,997 (ex-showroom). The Freedom 125 is powered by a 124.58cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, making 9.5PS and 9.7Nm. It is paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The Bajaj CNG bike has a 2kg CNG tank and 2-litre petrol tank, which delivers a claimed mileage of 102km per kg CNG and 65km per litre of petrol. This means it delivers a combined range of about 330km (claimed).
The Freedom 125 features a negatively-lit LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity for call/SMS alerts. It also has a dedicated button to receive calls. It has LED lights all around and a front disc brake.
Suzuki Burgman EX
Suzuki’s maxi-style 125cc scooter is available with a price tag of Rs 1,14,700 (ex-showroom). The Suzuki Burgman EX is powered by a 124cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 8.7PS and 10Nm, paired with a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission).
The 125cc Suzuki scooter comes with an LCD instrument console. It also gets smartphone connectivity offering turn-by-turn navigation, call, SMS and WhatsApp alerts, trip sharing function, last parked location, overspeeding alert and smartphone battery level indicator. It also gets a silent starter and an automatic start-stop system for added convenience. The headlight and tail light are LEDs, whereas the indicators are bulb-type.
Hero Xtreme 160 2V
The Hero Xtreme 160R 2V is a sporty naked bike and appeals to college-going youngsters. The Xtreme 160R is available with a price tag of Rs 1,11,611 (ex-showroom). It has a 163cc air-cooled, two-valve, single-cylinder engine mated to a 5-speed transmission, and produces 15.2PS and 14Nm. The 160cc bike comes with a full LCD instrument console.
Along with the basic info the console also gets a drag race timer, with 2 modes: D1 and D2. The D1 mode records the bike's 0-60 kmph acceleration time, while the D2 mode measures its quarter-mile timing (0-402m). It doesn’t have smartphone connectivity.
TVS Apache RTR 160 RM Disc
Another 160cc sporty naked bike on this list, the TVS Apache RTR 160 RM Disc is priced at Rs 1,24,720 (ex-showroom). The Apache RTR 160 2V is powered by a 159.7cc, air-cooled, two-valve single-cylinder engine that makes a peak output of 16.04PS and 12.7Nm. It is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
The TVS Apache RTR 160 2V comes with an LCD instrument cluster. It also gets the TVS’ Glide Through Technology (GTT), which helps you ride through traffic by just using the clutch. It gets 3 riding modes – Sport, Urban, and Rain. Moreover, you can also get Bluetooth connectivity along with features like call/SMS alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, and crash alerts by just paying Rs 3,300 more for the BT disc variant.
