With this, Bajaj now has four motorcycles in this segment!

[Update: Bajaj has released a formal press release of the bike's launch and is attached at the end of the story.]

  • The new CT110 gets a bigger engine compared to the CT100.
  • Braking hardware between both the variants is different.
  • The base variant of the CT110 is around Rs 5,000 more expensive than the CT100.

A few days back, we had reported that Bajaj’s new commuter motorcycle, the CT110, has started reaching dealerships. Now, the bike maker has silently launched the new CT110 in two variants, KS Alloy and ES Alloy. While the base variant is priced at Rs 37,997, the top-spec ES Alloy variant retails at Rs 44,480 (both prices ex-showroom Delhi).

Although it says 110 in the suffix, the new CT110 is actually powered by a bigger 115cc motor which churns out 8.6PS of power and 9.81Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 4-speed gearbox. The other major difference between the CT100 and the CT100 is the brake setup. While the lower-spec variant is equipped with 110mm drum units at both ends, the new CT110 features bigger 130mm drums on both ends. Suspension components, however, are similar on both the motorcycles: telescopic up front and dual SNS shock absorbers at the rear.

On the design front, the new CT110 features blacked-out parts, alloy wheels, rubber tank pads, fork gaiters, a braced handlebar, grab rail and new decals. The new commuter motorcycle is available in three paint options: Gloss Ebony Black, Matte Olive Green and Gloss Flame Red.

In terms of competition, the new CT110 goes up against the TVS Radeon (Rs 50,430) and the Hero Splendor (Rs 51,290, ex-showroom Delhi). Here's Bajaj's official release regarding the launch:

  • The new rugged CT110 is designed to take on rough roads with ease.
  • Priced attractively at Rs.37,997/- (Ex-Showroom Delhi), it offers the best value proposition in the entry motorcycle segment

22nd July 2019: Bajaj Auto - The World’s favourite Indian, has launched the new CT110.  Typically, conventional 100 cc bikes perform adequately on smooth roads but are not geared to handle rough & tough terrain outside the cities. The new CT110 has been designed keeping in mind riding condition in all kinds of terrain. It comes with semi–knobby tyres, a raised ground clearance, stronger & bigger crash guards and a suspension that can take on the worst of roads and toughest of conditions. The upswept exhaust, rubber mirror covers and bellows on the front suspension give it a tough-as-nails appearance.

At the heart of the CT110 is a tough 115cc DTSi engine that churns out 8.6 PS power and 9.81 Nm torque at 5,000 rpm thus ensuring a great ride even on inclines. The bike offers an excellent ride without any compromise on the great mileage the CT brand is known for.

CT110 also provides comfortable seating, with a long, thick padded seat and rubber tank pad for snug seating posture.

The new CT110 will be appreciated by both rural and city riders who want a bike that is built stronger.

Commenting on the launch of the new variant, Mr. Sarang Kanade, President - Motorcycle Business said, “The CT range was conceptualized for those customers who demand a robust bike at a reasonable price. Till date more than 50 lakh customers are riding the CT and appreciate it for its durability and outstanding mileage. We have continuously invested in the product both in terms of technology and style without losing the core value of delivering the Best Value Motorcycle on the Indian roads. We believe that the tough new CT 110 provides an even better value with superior performance - a great combination of mileage and power - all at an attractive price.”

Priced at Rs 37,997/- for the Kick Start variant and Rs 44,480/- Electric Start variant (ex-showroom Delhi prices), CT110 is now available in three stylish colours i.e. ‘Matte olive green with yellow decals’, ‘Gloss ebony black with blue decals’, and ‘Gloss flame red with bright red decals’ at all Bajaj Auto dealerships across India.
