The confirmation comes from Rakesh Sharma, executive director of Bajaj Auto
Bajaj is planning on bringing a new update to the Dominar range which includes the Bajaj Dominar 400 and the Bajaj Dominar 250. This was confirmed by Rakesh Sharma (Executive Director Bajaj Auto) during the launch of the Pulsar NS400Z.
With the launch of the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z and Bajaj Pulsar N250, Bajaj introduced a lot of new features that we had not seen before on a Bajaj bike, such as ride-by-wire throttle, riding modes and also a traction control system. So it is only natural that the manufacturer will be bringing the same to the Dominar range.
Other than these additions, Bajaj could likely bring some specific features that will fit the Dominar’s sports tourer character such as a basic traction control system and ABS modes.
Additionally, we could also see some other additions to the Dominar including a new digital instrument console, likely a TFT unit on the Dominar 400 and a LCD unit on the Dominar 250. Both will likely get smartphone connectivity and related features such as turn-by-turn navigation and Call/SMS alerts.
In terms of design, we don’t expect to see any major changes except the addition of new colours and graphics.
Other than these changes, the Dominar 400 and Dominar 250 are likely to remain unchanged. The Dominar 400 will still be powered by the same 373.3cc liquid-cooled, single cylinder engine which produces 40PS and 35Nm. Whereas the Dominar 250 will feature the same 248.77cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 27PS and 23.5Nm.
The updated Dominar range could be launched by mid-2025. The Dominar 400 could likely fetch a premium that is close to Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000, whereas the Dominar 250 could come at a premium of Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000.
In terms of rivals, the Bajaj Dominar 400 goes up against the Triumph Speed 400, Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and Honda CB350RS. Whereas the Dominar 250 competes with the Suzuki Gixxer 250, Husqvarna Svartpilen 250, and KTM 250 Duke
