Bajaj Pulsar 150 BS6 Launched. Costlier By Almost Rs 9,000!

- The Bajaj Pulsar 150 BS6 makes slightly lower torque than the BS4 model, but the power output has remained unchanged.

Just a day after we exclusively brought you the prices of the Bajaj Pulsar 150 BS6 range, the Pune-based bikemaker has launched the motorcycle. The standard Bajaj Pulsar 150 BS6 costs Rs 94,956, whereas the Bajaj Pulsar 150 Twin Disc BS6 version will set you back by Rs 98,835. This makes both the variants dearer than their BS4 counterparts by Rs 8,998. All prices ex-showroom Delhi.
For the added premium, the Bajaj Pulsar 150 BS6 packs a fuel-injected BS6-compliant engine. The motor makes the same power as before (14PS) but it arrives at 8500rpm, which is 500rpm later compared to the BS4 Pulsar 150. At 13.25Nm, the peak torque has gone down by 0.15Nm. It arrives at 6500rpm, which is 500rpm later compared to the BS4 variant. There have been no changes apart from the fuel-injected engine. Thanks to the emission-controlling equipment, the kerb weight has gone up from 144kg to 148kg. In terms of rivals, the bike will primarily go up against the recently-launched TVS Apache RTR 160 2V BS6.

Pulsar 150 comes equipped with a Fuel Injection (FI) system. This FI system has been designed by the state-of-art R&D centre at Bajaj Auto along. This FI system ensures seamless power delivery, feather-touch start and optimum fuel efficiency. Most importantly, the Bajaj FI system is easy to maintain, ensuring that the transition to the new technology is seamless.
The new Pulsar 150 will continue to set high standards in the Indian market by offering advanced FI system combined with 150cc Twin Spark DTS-i engine, aggressive muscular form and international styling. Delivering a raw power of 14 PS with outstanding stability and safety, the Pulsar 150 will be available in 2 colours: Black Chrome and Black Red.
Prices for the Pulsar 150 and 150 Twin Disc are at Rs 94 956/- & 98 835/- respectively. The BS6 variant of both Pulsar 150 & 150 Twin Disc is Rs 8,998 more than the BS4 variant.
