Bajaj Pulsar RS200 launched in India, Priced at Rs. 1.18 lac

Bajaj Auto has launched its new flagship motorcycle in India- Pulsar RS200 with attractive price tags of Rs. 1.18 lac and 1.30 lac (ex-showroom, Delhi) for non-ABS and ABS variants respectively. Earlier, it was unveiled as SS200 in some countries including Turkey. As per the expectations, the new race sport bike is blessed with fuel injection technology, resulting in better performance.

Propelling the new Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is the same 199.5cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with 4-valve configuration, which also powers the existing Pulsar 200NS. However, it has been retuned with FI system to make 24.1bhp of maximum power, instead of 23.2bhp. The top power comes at 9,750prm and the peak torque output has also been increased from 18.3bhp to 18.6bhp, coming at 8,000rpm. The motor retains the revolutionary triple-spark technology to achieve optimum fuel economy.

Available in two colour options- Yellow and Red, the new Pulsar RS200 has been styled in an aggressive manner with an supersport inspired full-body fairing and many other appealing features. Overall dimensions (length x width x height) of the bike are 1,999mm x 765mm x 1,114mm. It has a wheelbase of 1,355mm and the ground clearance sits at 157mm. Kerb weight of the motorcycle is 165 kg and its top speed has been claimed around 141kmph.

Along with 300mm front and 230mm rear disc brakes, the new Bajaj Pulsar RS200 also has single-chanel ABS as optional feature. It comes with 37mm telescopic front forks and adjustable Nitrox mono-shock at the rear. The bike runs on 17”, 10-spoke alloy wheels with 130/70 section rear and 100/80 section front tubeless tyre.
