A few weeks ago, Benelli launched the classy-looking Leoncino 250 in India at Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Agreed, the Leoncino is quite expensive. In fact, it is one of the most expensive 250cc bikes out there. If you are willing to shell out a tad more, you could even have the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. Here’s a look at the waiting period for the first lot of this gorgeous scrambler.
Interested customers can book the Leoncino 250 on Benelli’s website for a token amount of Rs 6,000. The entry-level Benelli is available in four paint options: red, brown, white and anthracite (or grey to you and us).

The lion cub is powered by a 249cc single-cylinder motor that churns out 25.8PS and 21.2Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed gearbox, while braking hardware consists of a single 280mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS offered as a standard fitment. Suspension duties are handled by a chunky 41mm upside-down fork and a rear monoshock.
