Benelli TNT 25 to be Launched in India This November

Recently, on September 24, Benelli launched its LE TNT 600i in India. Now, the Italians are planning to offer their cheapest model in the country which is expected to launch in November 2015. The 249cc motorcycle will be named TNT 25 and will be different from its ongoing cousins as it is the first single-cylinder motorcycle by Benelli in India.
The bike will come equipped with a 249cc, liquid-cooled, single cylinder engine that churns out a power of 24.5 PS at 9,000 rpm with 21 Nm of torque at 7,000rpm and comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The bike can reach a maximum speed of 145 kmph and has a fuel tank capacity of 16.5 litres. The motorcycle will be coming to India through completely knocked down (CKD) route and is expected to be priced around Rs. 2 lac (ex-showroom). It will rival the likes of KTM 200 Duke and upcoming Mahindra Mojo, which is to be launched next month.

The naked street-fighter features sculpted tank, split seat, rear grab rails, multi-spoke alloy wheels and chunky side slung exhaust which enhance the overall looks of the motorcycle. The motorcycle carries sporty looks and is expected to offer good ergonomics with an analogue-digital instrument cluster. The design and features of the motorcycle will certainly attract the youth and will give good competition to other naked frame bikes. The motorcycle rides on 110/70 R17 front tyre with 280mm disc brakes and 140/60 R17 rear tyre. The bike is 2,080mm long, 805mm wide and 1,090mm tall. Its wheelbase is 1,385mm and it offers a ground clearance of 130 mm.
At the end of 2015, the company will add a new model to its portfolio in India, the Trek Amazonas. The tourer will house a 1,131cc engine that puts out a power of 126 HP and 112 Nm of torque. This bike also comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and has a fuel tank capacity of 22 litres.
