Benelli TRK 502 India Launch by Sep 2016; Debut at Auto Expo

The middleweight adventure tourer from DSK-Benelli - TRK 502 that was recently showcased at the 73rd EICMA will be marking its footprints soon in the country. The bike is expected to be showcased at the upcoming Auto Expo and is possibly one of the four models that the company has planned for the Indian market this year. Some reports state that an official has confirmed the TRK 502 will be launched in India by August-September 2016.
Benelli TRK 502 comes powered by a 499.6cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that has been mated to a six-speed transmission coupled with a hydraulic clutch for smooth gear shifting. The motor generates a maximum power of 46.9bhp at 8,500rpm with a peak torque of 45Nm at 4,500rpm. The rugged adventure tourer receives a large aerodynamic windshield at the front with fat upside down forks to conquer any kind of terrain with ease. Braking is taken care of by twin 320mm disc brakes at the front with a 260mm disc brake at the rear, equipped with standard ABS. The bike runs on 120/70 and 160/60 section front and rear Pirelli tyres,mounted over 17-inch spoke wheels. The manufacturer has equipped the bike with a massive 20-litre fuel tank to ensure a good stock of fuel for long distances.
The TRK 502 is expected to be seen next month at the DSK-Benelli stall in the Auto Expo. If reports in BikeAdvice are to be believed, Mr. Shirish Kulkarni, Chairman, DSK MotoWheels had stated that the bike will be launched in India by August or September. Meanwhile, according some sources, the fully-faired Tornado 302 will be making its Indian debut at the Expo and is bound to attract a large audience. Coming back to Benelli TRK 502, once launched, this bike is expected to be priced somewhere between Rs. 5 lac to Rs. 5.5 lac and might prove a good option for those who crave a worthy adventure bike under this price range.
