The Bird ELectric ES1+ scooter has been unveiled at Auto Expo 2020. It is a compact electric scooter that does not hold high promises like the other electric scooters launched at the expo. Instead, the company claims modest figures for the ES1+.

The scooter claims to reach a top speed of just 35kmph though it is expected to reach there quickly thanks to its featherlight 62kg weight. The 3Ah lithium-ion battery pack offers a range of just 55km. That’s nearly 1/5th of the claimed time of the Evolet Raptor. Even the charge time is claimed to be an awfully long 7-8 hours, nearly double of most electric scooters. Bird has not confirmed if the ES1+ will get the fast-charging option.

However, on the features front, the Bird ES1+ gets premium looking LED headlamp and tail lamp with integrated turn indicators and a digital instrument console. Interestingly the ES1+ has a camera button on the right switchgear and what looks like a camera lens on the front fascia below the headlamp. Bird has not revealed any details about this tech but it could be disclosed at the launch later this year.
