Bookings open for Upcoming KTM RC 125

The most affordable RC will be launched next week

• According to KTM dealerships, the new RC 125 will be launched next week.
• Booking amount ranges from Rs 1,000 to Rs 5,0000.
• Dealer sources quote the bike to be priced around Rs 1.7 lakh (on-road, Delhi)

KTM is all set to launch the RC 125 soon and dealers across the country have started accepting unofficial bookings for the same. The booking amounts vary from Rs 1,000 to Rs 5,000 depending on the dealership. According to dealerships the bike will reach the showrooms by next week and as early as the next couple of days in Pune. Our dealer sources state that the upcoming motorcycle will be priced around Rs 1.7 lakh on-road, Delhi. That is around Rs 23,000 more than the naked KTM 125 Duke’s on road price in Delhi.

The faired baby KTM was spotted testing first in April. It will carry the RC 200  bodywork and features. The underpinnings and 124.7cc liquid cooled single cylinder motor will be shared with the naked 125 Duke.  It is expected to carry the same state of tune and deliver 14.5PS and 12Nm. Like all KTMs this one should also get a six-speed gearbox. The KTM 125 Duke gets a trellis frame, upside down forks and monoshock. Braking is via front 300mm disc and a 240mm rear disc brake with single-channel ABS as standard fitment. We expect all this to feature on the faired RC 125 as well.

When launched, the KTM RC 125 will be the most affordable faired KTM and you can buy in India. It will compete against the Yamaha R15 V3.0 ( Rs 1.62 lakh).
