BREAKING: BGauss RUV 350 Electric Scooter Launched At Rs 1,09,999

BGauss has launched the RUV 350 in India starting at Rs 1,09,999 (ex-showroom). The e-scooter is the successor of the D15, which was the brand’s flagship offering. Here’s everything you need to know.

BGauss RUV 350 Price

The BGauss RUV 350 is offered in 3 variants, the 350i EX, the 350 EX and the 350 Max. Here are their prices:

Additionally, the brand is offering introductory benefits as well. Customers who purchase the 350i EX variant will receive Rs 10,000 worth of benefits, including a free insurance worth Rs 6,000 and an extended battery warranty worth Rs 4,000.

The 350 EX comes with benefits worth Rs 18,000, which includes free insurance worth Rs 6,000, Free BGauss Connect Subscription worth Rs 8,000 and the extended battery warranty worth Rs 4,000.

Top of the line 350 Max gets benefits worth Rs 20,000, including free insurance worth Rs 6,000, Free BGauss Connect Subscription worth Rs 8,000 and an extended battery warranty worth Rs 6,000.

BGauss RUV 350 Design

The RUV 350 features a very interesting design, and one that can be regarded asunconventional when compared to other e-scooters in the Indian market. The RUV 350 feels more like an underbone scooter similar to the ones sold in Southeast Asian markets  like Vietnam. 

At the front it features full LED lighting, with a hexagonal headlight and turn indicators that are integrated into the scooter’s headlight cowl. When looking at the scooter from the side, it is clear that the body profile is quite sleek and BGauss has done a good job with the minimalist design. 

BGauss RUV 350 Powertrain

Powering the BGauss RUV350 is a 3.5kW motor, producing a continuous power output of 2.5kW, giving it a claimed top speed of 75kmph. There are 3 riding modes on offer– Eco, Ride and Sport. The Eco mode offers a top speed of 45kmph, whereas the Ride and Sport mode offers top speeds of 60kmph and 75kmph respectively.

The motor is mated to a 3kWh battery pack on the 350 Max varaint, offering the scooter a claimed real world range of 120km. On the 350i EX and 350 EX variants the scooter has a claimed real world range of 90km.

BGauss is offering 3 chargers for this scooter, a 500W one, a 840W and a 1350W one. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the charging times on the 350 Max variant.

BGauss RUV 350 Underpinnings

The BGauss RUV 350 is built on a tubular frame and is suspended on a telescopic fork and 5-step adjustable gas-charged single shock absorber. The e-scooter rolls on large 16-inch alloy wheels at the front and rear, with tubeless tyres. Braking duties are handled by 130mm drum brakes at both ends, with combined braking system (CBS) for added safety. 

The RUV 350 has a seat height of 785mm, which is fairly accessible, and a ground clearance of 160mm. The e-scooter has a kerb weight of 122kg and the standard payload capacity comes to 150kg.

BGauss RUV 350 Features

The RUV 350 EX and RUV 350 Max comes with a 5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth. It provides readouts such as speed, time, battery level along with distance to empty readout. The console gets two layouts, Classic and Glide which are a good addition. Lastly, there are service alerts offered as well.

The scooter offers 3 riding modes, like mentioned before and along with this it also comes with a reverse mode, with a dedicated button to activate it. Additionally, RUV 350 gets cruise control. Other features include, Hill Hold, Roll Over Detection, side stand and mainstand motor cutoff, and regen braking. 

Coming to the smartphone connectivity and related features, BGauss has an official app on Android and iPhone which opens up a bunch of new features including, turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, firmware updates, parental lock, an immobilisation feature and the option to check the scooter’s health status via diagnostics. Riders can also access telematics via the app.

The RUV 350i EX misses out on the TFT console and related features. It only gets a LCD console and no connected features.
