Hero MotoCorp has launched the much anticipated Xoom 125, with prices starting from Rs 86,900 (ex-showroom). The scooter was initially showcased at the 2023 EICMA show in Milan, Italy and now has been launched at Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. It is Hero's answer to the growing popularity of sporty and performance oriented 125cc scooters. It comes in two variants: VX and ZX.

Design

The Hero Xoom 125 brings a fresh and sharp design to the 125cc scooter segment just like its smaller sibling, the Xoom 110. The overall design will appeal more to younger riders and those looking for something sporty. The Xoom comes in a total of for colours, the VX in two colours: Metallic Turbo Blue, Matte Storm Grey, and ZX in Matte Neon Lime and Inferno Red.

Engine

The scooter is powered by a 124.6cc engine, same as the one found in the new Destini 125. This engine delivers a maximum output of 9PS and 10.4Nm. Hero claims its the quicket 125cc scooter with a 0-60kmph time of 7.6 seconds.

Underpinnings

Suspension wise, the scooter comes with a telescopic fork and a monoshock. The 14-inch wheels provide better comfort over bad roads as compared to 10 and 12-inch wheels. For brakes, it gets a front disc and rear drum brake, along with a Combi-Braking System (CBS).

Features

The Xoom 125 gets LED lighting all around with cornering front lights just like the Xoom 110. It also has a fully digital LCD instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and call/SMS alerts. It also gets an external fuel-filler cap for convenient refuelling.

Rivals

The Xoom rivals other sporty 125cc scooters like the TVS NTorq 125, Suzuki Avenis, Aprilia SR 125, and the Yamaha RayZR 125.
