It could be launched in November
The CEO of Eicher Motors (parent company of Royal Enfield), Siddhartha Lal, has officially teased a video on his Instagram handle of the upcoming Himalayan 450 being tested.

What’s New?
From what’s visible in the five-second clip, the bike seems like it’s being tested extensively, in an environment where it belongs: Bara-Lacha La Pass. The upcoming ADV gets an LED headlight, a first for the Chennai-based bikemaker. The indicators seem chunky, and it’s very much possible that they’re LED units as well.
Apart from that, the overall design of the Himalayan 450 looks similar to the current Himalayan. It gets a small windscreen and carries a slim profile. Previous images also revealed that the bike gets an inverted fork along with a swingarm-mounted monoshock, which is again a notable change over the current Himalayan’s link-type monoshock.
When Will It Be Here?
With this new test footage being officially revealed by Siddharth Lal, it’s clear that the Himalayan 450’s launch is a lot closer than what we thought. We suspect the bike will be unveiled at EICMA this year (which will take place between 8th and 13th November) and Royal Enfield could launch it at Rider Mania, which will take place towards the end of November.
Coming to the meaty part, the Himalayan 450 is likely to make about 40PS and 40Nm from its 450cc liquid-cooled engine. We expect Royal Enfield to price the bike around the Rs 2.80 lakh mark (ex-showroom) to pitch it against the likes of the KTM 390 Adventure and the upcoming Hero XPulse 400.
