TVS has launched the updated Apache RTR 160 4V in India. The bike receives a 37mm USD fork and gets three new paint schemes: Granite Grey, Matte Black, and Pearl White. These colours are complemented by sporty, race-inspired graphics, golden-finish USD fork, and red alloy wheels. The Apache RTR 160 4V now comes in a total of seven variants.
The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V continues to be powered by a 159.7cc, oil-cooled, fuel-injected, 4-valve engine that generates 17.55PS at 9,250rpm and 14.73Nm at 7,500 rpm and is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. TVS claims the Apache RTR 160 4V will do a top-speed of 114kmph.
The underpinnings are the same as well with the addition of a new 37mm USD fork. The rear suspension continues to be a monoshock. The brakes include a 270m petal disc at the front and a 130mm drum (for the Drum variant) or a 200mm petal disc at the rear mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends. The bike has a fuel tank capacity of 12 litres and weighs in at 146kg kerb of the top variant. The ground clearance is 180mm while the seat height is an accessible 800mm.
In terms of features, the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V gets an LCD instrument cluster which provides three riding modes: Sport, Urban and Rain. It also gets TVS SmartXonnect technology which provides the rider with data such as lean angle, race telemetry, turn-by-turn navigation, call/SMS alerts, crash alert and, low-fuel warning and assist.

The new USD variant will be the new top variant. Other variants will continue to get a telescopic fork. The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is a prominent player in the 160cc segment and goes against the likes of Bajaj Pulsar N160 and the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V.
