Select dealerships across India have said that deliveries for the BS6-compliant Classic 350 will commence in 15 days. Interested customers can book the bike for a token amount of Rs 10,000. As for the price, the updated model retails at Rs 1.65 lakh (ex-showroom), around Rs 12,000 more than the BS4 variant. You also get two new colours, Stealth Black and Chrome, which have been carried over from the Classic 500 range.

There’s no cosmetic difference aside from the new colour options. Mechanically though, the Classic 350 now comes with fuel-injection -- one of the additions that will help the motorcycle comply with BS6 emissions. Unfortunately, the brand hasn’t revealed the specs of the bike just yet.
Having said that, if we were to consider the BS4 model’s specs, it makes 20PS and 28Nm mated to a 5-speed transmission. The frame, suspension and braking setup have been carried over as is from the previous iteration. In terms of competition, the Classic 350 goes up against the Jawa and Benelli Imperiale 400, both of which are still awaiting BS6 updates.

On a slightly different note, the Chennai-based manufacturer has also announced it will launch the rest of its BS6 models in a phased manner before the April 1 deadline. Royal Enfield may also introduce two new motorcycles, Sherpa and Hunter, shortly.
